WORKING AND PASTORAL BREEDS SCOTLAND - 2017
Ernie M Paterson
I enjoyed judging this breed and thank the exhibitors for
their entries. I thought the breed was in good order with some lovely specimens
on show.
PD (1) 1 Cubello's Night Owl. 11 mths, at the inbetween
stage in terms of head and body, loved his eye and expression, good for bone and
feet, strong quarters used well, when he settled to his movement. Just needs
time to tighten and body up.
JD (1) 1 Holmes' Lisjovia Estevez. 13 mths, masculine head
with good ear set, scores for pigment, neck and shoulders, plenty of bone, body
is well made and developing well, moved well both fore and aft, could make
better use of his tail.
PGD (3) 1 Flounders' Gillandant Spirit Of Xmas At Lakamoni.
Scored in head and expression here, loved his eye and pigment, free and active
on the move, maintained a good topline on going round, would prefer a little
more angulation in quarters. 2 Baverstock's Kalkasi Expect Only The Best. Very
well made body with good quarters, used himself well fore and aft, a little
strong in head but overall good breed type. 3 Holmes' Lisjovia Takahashi JW.
LD (7, 1) 1 Reilly's Lisjovia Boris Bear At Darmaror JW.
Very nice head properties, lovely pigment and expression, good bone and feet,
nice angulation front and rear, body is strong and well made, moved out strongly
fore and aft, another who could use his tail more. 2 Flounders' Gillandant
Spirit Of Xmas At Lakamoni. 3 Kenyon Ward & Bermingham's Charibere Simply Magic
At Chezanna JW ShCM.
OD (5, 1) 1 Mattisson, Sandstrom & Nagrecha's Ch Vi'skaly's
My Way Or No Way To Chandlimore (Imp Swe). Takes the eye immediately and doesn't
disappoint on handling. Excellent front assembly, bone and feet, lovely head and
eye, good ear set, first rate shoulders, body is strong and well made, strong
quarters and moves free and easy, a real find who will feature for some time on
this showing. CC, BOB, Group and BIS. 2 Kenyon & Ward's Ch Charibere Simply
Special At CHezanna JW ShCM. A favourite, slightly different type to winner but
love his head and expression, not quite the front of winner but well made right
through and equally good on the move. RCC. 3 Baverstock's Ch/Ir Ch Kalkasi In
High Spirits JW ShCM CW14.
PB (3) 1 Flounders' Sketrick Papagena At Lakamoni (ai).
Tall with a lovely head and eye, good for bone and feet, enough angulation in
front, would prefer a shade more behind but is a good mover fore and aft. I
liked her a lot and will be interested to see how she develops. BP. 2 Haley's
Kalkasi Lilac Wine. Another promising baby but was determined not to co-operate
with her haandler on the move, scores in pigment and body is developing well,
just needs time to settle. 3 Haley's Kalkasi Blue Moon
. JB (4, 1) 1 Flounders' Sketrick Papagena At Lakamoni
(ai). 2 Haley's Kalkasi Lilac Wine. 3 Haley's Kalkasi Blue Moon.
PGB (1) 1 Flounders' Sketrick Papagena At Lakamoni (ai).
LB (3, 1) 1 Baverstock's Kalkasi Expect To Be A Star. Very
smart and feminine, lovely head and expression, well set ear, strong neck and
good shoulders, scores for overall balance and body properties, very sound
steady mover. RCC, a very nice bitch. 2 Holmes' Lisjovia Kiyonari. A little
stronger in head and body but handles well and scores in front and rear
assembly, firm topline maintained on the move.
OB (3) 1 Kenyon Ward & Bermingham's Ch Charibere Simply A
Dream At Chezanna JW. Lovely head and expression, very good pigment, scored in
bone and front assembly here, body is well made with a good topline and tail
set, used herself to advantage on the move. CC. 2 Baverstock's Kalkasi Moonlite
Mist. Not quite the expression of winner but handles well, is a particularly
good mover, especially going away, looks good in profile. 3 Fergus' Daveangel
Reddest Ruby.
