MIDLAND COS CH SHOW 2016

Judge  ANDREW H BRACE

MPD (3) 1 Thorne’s Kricarno Konstellation at Pyrajay, 6 months & looks it, very erratic on the move but he has lots of quality & type, a pleasing head & expression, good overall proportions & satisfactory basic construction; 2 Stratton-Baldwin’s Kricarno Kinetic, 6 months & another real baby of similar type & merits but not as strong in the rear. Again movement needs to improve with maturity; 3 Ingham’s Dennajae Billy The Kid.
PD
(6) 1 Holmes’ Lisjovia Takahashi, 11 months, well grown & bodied, decent head, well boned & ribbed with excellent angulation & firm backline. Needs to tighten in front but handled himself well in profile. Beautifully presented; 2 Baverstock’s Kalkasi Expect Only The Best, preferred his higher station & bearing to 1 but he too needs to improve in front & he doesn’t have the hind angulation of 1. Lovely head & expression, should mature well; 3 Flounders’ Gillandant Spirit Of Xmas at Lakamoni.
JD
(2) 1 L Takahashi; 2 Thomas’ Shiresoak Snow Patrol, 15 months of quality, liked his bearing & general shape. Adequate head type, could be stronger behind & not in full coat. Movement out & back could be truer but he pleases in profile.
PGD
(6) 1 Kenyon, Ward & Bermingham’s Charibere Simply Magic at Chezanna, won the class easily with his free & effortless movement. Decent head, well boned & bodied, beautifully presented. Well put together & fundamentally well balanced. Just wish he wheeled his tail; 2 S Snow Patrol; 3 Kennedy’s Kentredecim Beach Brother.
LD
(3) 1 Tadd’s Jacko du Haras de Chante Neige avec Kricarno, handsome, upstanding of excellent type. Very impressive head & expression, excellent wither height, good to go over. Not in full coat but what he has was clean & well textured. Moderately angled, moved freely & used his tail; 2 McDowell & Asher’s Granchester Imoulou, another impressive dog for overall type, masculine head, good overall balance & shape but rather lethargic on the move; 3 Randall’s Desalazara Monza.
OD
(5) 1 Mattison, Sandstrom & Nagrecha’s Viskalys My Way Or No Way to Chandlimore, as soon as he walked into the ring I could just feel myself smiling. Outstanding in every way, his exquisite head & expression gave me goosebumps. Wouldn’t change a thing about him & he was presented & conditioned to perfection. Moved superbly & correctly with a natural aura of greatness. Won his first CC & BOB by a considerable margin & looked sensational in the group. I have no doubt we will be seeing a lot more of him in the big ring next year; 2 Ch/Ir Ch Kalkasi In High Spirits, with 1 out of the way he would have won the class as he impressed me greatly but just couldn’t match his intense quality & sheer excitement. Typical, sound, well bodied but not quite the head of 1. Even so easily won the RCC; 3 Kenyon & Ward’s Ch Charibere Simply Special at Chezanna.

MPB (2) 1 Tadd’s Kricarno Kornish Kontessa, 6 months baby understandably raw but with so much quality & type. Beautiful feminine head, excellent overall proportions, just needs to drop into her rear. Although a little unrehearsed her movement was sound & true; 2 Bamford’s Dennaje Sweet Surrender, more advanced in body at 9 months & she has as look of class. Good basic head type, well boned & bodied, just not moving too well in front.
PB
(4) 1 Pollard’s Gillandant Xmas Spice, 10 months, absolutely beautiful standing & moving, so exquisitely balanced & constructed, & she wheels her tail too! Feminine head, so good to go over, just needs to drop into her rear with maturity but the overall picture is fabulous. RCC & BP; 2 Baverstock’s Kalkasi Expect To Be A Star, again 10 months & her head & expression are delightful. She impresses in body & outline but sadly disappointed on the move; 3 K Kornish Kontessa.
JB
(2) 1 Bayliss’ Shiresoak She’s The One, 15 months, so full of quality with the most heavenly head & expression. Beautifully balanced outline, well bodied & coming into coat. Sound & steady mover. When fully mature & coated should be spectacular. Won what was apparently her second CC, should soon be a very worthy champion; 2 Janes’ Lyra-Belle du Haras de Chante Neige, 16 months, good overall type but not quite the expression of 1, as well let down behind or as coordinated on the move.
PGB
(6) 1 Fergus’ Daveangel Reddest Ruby, beautiful in every way apart from her presentation as a bitch of this quality deserves to be cleaner. Balanced head, magnificent construction, so sound, moving freely & actively & even wheeling her tail. I hope her handler will put more into her presentation as she is clear champion material. Had she returned for the challenge she may now well be a third of the way there, but we will never know; 2 Savage’s Viskaly’s Lilla My at Kington, slightly lower stationed & not as clean in skull but she is well put together, nicely conditioned & presented & moved steadily; 3 Carter’s Casabear Moon Beam.
LB
(4) 1 Baverstock’s Kalkasi Dream Chaser, well balanced bitch nicely made & moving better than anything else in the class. Good basic shape & balance, head proportions could be better; 2 Bayliss’ Gillandant Anastasia at Shiresoak, much more my kind of head & she has better hindquarters than 1 on the stack but sadly she disappointed on the move; 3 Ford’s Montimur Iris Of The Storm.
OB
(3) 1 Baverstock’s Ch/Ir Ch Kalkasi High Expectations, she has height & bearing, I loved her overall shape & type but she was rather lethargic & not the best coming at me; 2 Ford’s Lisjobia Whistling Dixie for Montimur, not the head & wither height of 1 but well bodied & actually the best mover in the class; 3 Wilcock’s Penellcy Tapestry Of Dreams.
