Judge KAREN KENNEDY

Many thanks to the secretary & committee of Bath canine Society for giving me the opportunity to award my first set of tickets. Big thanks to the stewards who had a long stint ahead of them & a big thanks to those that entered & showed their dogs in beautiful condition.

MPD (1) 1 Holmes’ Lisjovia Takahashi, lovely start to the day, delightful little character of just 6 months, well proportioned head, pleasing tight dark oblique eye, well set ear, good overall shape, pleasing bone & substance throughout, nice short, strong loin, elbows could be tighter, moves out with nice playful, keen attitude. BPD. PD (2) 1 Holmes’ Lisjovia Takahashi, as above; 2 Henson & Dearman’s Shiresoak Nanook, boy with gorgeous colouring & lovely masculine, broad well proportioned head, slight roman nose, beautiful eyes & pigment.  Tall lad & could have a little more bone overall.  Needs to come together moving, he’s a big lad & will take some time.  Has a bit of a tendency to turn out the right foot at times. Attractive, handsome lad. JD (4,1) 1 Well’s Sketrick Odin, lad of lovely size, pleasing moulded head, lovely dark almond eye, black pigment, lips looking a little loose today, but if was a very warm day, pleasing markings & colour, stands with proud bearing, nice tight feet, could move better, as tending to cross a little on rear at times today; 2 Henson & Dearman’s Shiresoak Nanook, as above; 3 Duffel’s Kalkasi A Star is Born of Ricaduffal. ND (0). PGD (3,1) 1 Spier’s Belshanmish Yellow River, good sized lad, lovely proud head carriage, good feet & lovely earset, excellent pigment, little loose in lips, correct stop, has pleasing overall shape standing, not moving as cleanly as I would like today; 2 Carter’s Jumicar Snow Blizzard, heavier type, head well proportioned but a little heavy overall, good eye shape & pigment, well set ear, he gives the appearance of having a bit too much stop. Lovely quiet temperament, good bone & substance, coat in good order, could stand a little straighter in front, hock a little loose. LD (7) 1 Holmes’ Lisjovia Slick As A Whistle, lovely lad with good bone & substance, pleasing overall outline, lovely colouring, dark almond eye, correct stop, filled under eyes, well set ear, muzzle can appear a little short, stands nice & straight to front, nicely put together lad, well ribbed back, holds nice strong topline & moves out soundly; 2 Wilcock’s Penellcy Guard Of Honour, handsome lad overall, lovely colouring, pleasing eye shape & expression, earset a little high, & does appear a little strong in stop, but seems to work for him. Holds nice strong topline, well set tail, nice tight feet, shown in beautiful condition; 3 Randall’s Desalazara Monza. OD (7,1) Lovely class, a pleasure to judge. 1 Kenyon & Ward’s Cheribere Simply Special at Chezanna, love this lad, very handsome boy, pleasing expression, tight dark oblique eye, well set ears, lovely head proportions & fill, excellent pigment, correct stop, lovely regal bearing, strong bone, tight feet, holds topline, well set tail, can be a little loose coming towards & could have a little more forechest, moves out so well, his profile movement is beautiful, big lad but looks so light & elegant. CC; 2 Baverstock’s Ch & Ir Ch Kalkasi In High Spirits, most beautiful head on this boy, lovely proportions, well filled under eye, lovely curve to skull, correct stop, tight almond dark eyes, lovely pigment on eye rims & nose, beautiful markings, another a little loose coming towards, but lovely away & in profile, good size, holds topline, sound & not giving his age away. RCC; 3 Downes’ Pyrpressure’s My American Dream at Belshanmish.

PB (1) 1 Bayliss’ Shiresoak She’s The One, absolutely loved this baby, just 10 months, beautiful head proportions, gorgeous dark oblique eye, excellent pigment, correct stop, well set & carried ear, she is so feminine, very pretty girl. Lovely overall outline, strong topline, correct construction, well set tail, everything flows, if being really pedantic, feet could be rounder, good depth of body, moves out so soundly, hope she continues as she is, one to watch. BPB, BP & RCC. JB (4) 1 Bayliss’ Shiresoak She’s The One, as above; 2 Kenyon & Ward’s Cheribere Simply A Dream at Chezanna, another with well proportioned head, pretty oblique dark eye, pigment excellent, needs to fill out in forechest, pleasing angulation, tight feet, topline needs to firm yet, moves out well, soundly, just needs a bit of development time now; 3 Carter’s Casabear Moon Beam. NB (2) 1 Carter’s Casabear Moon Beam; 2 Janes’ Lyra-Belle Du Haras De Chante Neige. PGB (5,1) 1 Savage’s Vi’skaly’s Little My at Kington, smaller girl, could have little more length of leg, body shape is lovely, good front & rear, stands with regal, proud bearing, pretty girl, tight dark eye, good pigmentation, white second lids just detracts from expression a little, lovely head proportions, tight lips, correct stop, coat in lovely condition, moves out well, very focussed on handler; 2 Randall’s Vi’skaly’s Takes You For A Ride, very pretty feminine head & tight dark eye, well placed ear, pleasing overall shape, holds strong topline, could be a little tighter at elbow, crosses feet a little on rear, so does need to firm up; 3 Wilcock’s Montimur Sweet Child of Mine at Penellcy. LB (1) 1 Tadd’s Kricarno Krystal Konchita, tall girl, good head proportions, tight dark eye, correct stop, pleasing expression, good pigment, well set ear, good shoulders, but bit short upper arm & needs more forechest, nicely angled rear, coat well presented, moved out very well. OB (2) 1 Baverstock’s Mizeka A Touch of Class with Kalkasi, gorgeous girl, could not fault her, beautiful moulded well proportioned head, good muzzle, skull balance, lovely pigment, correct stop, slightly rounded skull, tight dark oblique set almond eye, well set ear, tightest well pigmented lips, beautiful colour and markings, good arch of neck, well placed shoulders and upper arm correct, one of the only exhibits with correct forechest, good width throughout, well ribbed, strong well held topline, well set tail, tight feet, well boned, not in absolute full coat, not the biggest girl & not the most enthusiastic in the ring, but typical stubborn attitude, & the movement she gave is spot on. CC & BOB; 2 Downes’ Shanlimore Delta Lady at Belshanmish, this young lady was having none of it today, very hard work for her handler, lovely head & expression, tight dark eye, needs more forechest, exhibited in beautiful condition, coat gorgeous, bit difficult to assess movement, looked a little loose in front coming towards. Pretty girl, pity she had a silly head on today.
