CITY OF BIRMINGHAM CH SHOW 2014

Judge HILDA CARLIN

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge this show & for all the help & hospitality I received. Grateful thanks also to my two helpful stewards & to all the exhibitors who brought their lovely dogs under me. Mouths were very good in all the dogs as was temperament, movement & pigmentation. Unfortunately many were sadly lacking coat which is to be expected at this time of year.

PD (4,1a) 1 O’Rourke’s Desalazara Monza, tall well developed coloured boy of 10 months, correct shaped head & eye, good topline & angulation, sound mover. BP; 2 Coles’ Gillandant Polar Express, beautiful head & expression, well balanced shape with good shoulders & angulation, gave his handler a hard time on the move, needs a lot more schooling & discipline, but certainly enjoys himself, a lovely puppy; 3 McDowell & Asher’s Granchester Imoulou. JD Repeat. PGD (3,2) 1 Agar’s Pyrbern Blond Wowa, lightly coloured dog of good size & construction, strong level topline, good angulation & in good coat, moving very well. LD (4,3) 1 Downe’s Pyrpressure’s My American Dream at Belshanmish, lovely young dog maturing well, attractive head & expression, in good coat with well balanced shape, good angulation & very good, sound movement, just needs slightly more maturity & I’m sure he will be one for top honours in the future. OD (3) 1 Savage’s Viskaly’s Harry Honda at Kington, tall, elegant boy who I have always admired & today he did not disappoint, excellent head & eye with correct tight mouth. Attractive markings, good level topline & correct angulation, moved steadily but soundly, a pleasure to award his first CC & BOB & to see him gain G4; 2 Baverstock’s Ch/Ir Ch Kalkasi In High Spirits, a worthy champion of the breed, well balanced mature boy in good coat, slightly heavier in head than 1, excellent body & bone, moved very well. RCC; 3 Ford’s Kalkasi Dances With Wolves for Montimur. GCD (0).

VB (2,1) 1 Munson’s Alchazandis Foxminty Bear at Pyrbern, lovely girl of 8 years, in very nice condition with good coat & good dentition, well angulated which enabled her to move freely & soundly round the ring. BV. PB (4,1) 1 Downes’ Lisjovia Spirit Of The Wind, well grown young puppy, good bone, balance & topline, attractive head & eye, very well behaved both standing & on the move, has plenty of time to mature; 2 Ford’s Lisjovia Whistling Dixie for Montimor, litter sister to 1 & many of the same comments apply, I just preferred head & eyes of 1; 3 Pollard’s Gillandant Coco Chanel. JB (3,1) 1 Tadd’s Krikarno Krystal Konchita, attractive tall all white, elegant girl, good head & expression, excellent topline & angulation, good movement; 2 Baverstock’s Mizeka A Touch Of Class with Kalkasi, smaller type but very pretty with super head & expression, well balanced shape & good movement, pity she was completely out of coat, just needs more maturity. PGB (4,1) 1 Wright’s Desalazaro Mamma Mia, tall, elegant girl, attractive head & eyes, good topline, good bone & angulation, not quite in full coat at present, moved very well; 2 M A Touch Of Class with K. OB (5,1) 1 Edwards’ Ch Gillandant Leyla via Shanlimore, lovely girl with attractive head & eyes, super coat which was presented to perfection, good bone, size & angulation, moving soundly, worthy champion of the breed & I was very pleased to award her the CC; 2 Pollard’s Gillandant Sizzling Spice, litter sister to 1 & another lovely girl, very good shape & topline, attractive head & expression, today her coat was not at its best, super, lively mover bonding so well with her handler.
